Review
Really nice budget setup; that says it all.
The receiver was in desperate need of maintenance and brought back to the nice on the eyes/ears and easy to operate machine it was intended to be. The record player had some simple work done, like fresh cables and some lube and a heavy duty clean-up. It picks up a lot of details. good bass and nice treble. Not much to complain about really. The speaker setup (SA-800) is very nice on the ears with a good reach. We switched it with the AKAU ST-101 just for testing purposes; they're in our workshop atm and are being restored; we're not unhappy about them by the way, but comparing them to the SA-800's our preference is clear.
All in all; This setup will demand less then 350 euro's and is, within this budget-range, something to keep in mind when looking for a setup.
