Georeferencing a Toposheet / MAP using ArcMAP or ArcGIS
Hi Viewers,
This Video describes the process of Georeferencing of a Toposheet or a Map using ArcMAP or ArcGIS.
Steps to follow:
1. Open raw data (unreferenced map or raster).
2. Identify control points (Longitude / Latitude) at different corners.
3. Go to georeferencing tool bar, select add control point.
4. Place all the points and assign their lat/long.
5. Click on georefencing and select rectify.
6. Give output path and output name including output type.
7. Click ok..It successfully complete the process.
8. Open the referenced map in new ArcMAP window.
9. Click ArcTool Box and open Data Management Tool and then expand Projection and Transformation tools.
10. Click on Define projection to assign the projection information.
11. Add referenced map as input map and select suitable or required projection.
