Rivne is a city of regional significance in Ukraine, the regional center of Rivne region, the center of Rivne district of Rivne region. The city is located on the river Ustya. The city has three universities, two theaters. Historical and local lore museum. Assumption wooden church (XVIII century). Rivne has been known since 1283. Magdeburg law since 1492.
