Gym Filming Etiquette
This should go without saying, but just in case—it’s important to remember that the gym is a shared space, not your personal filming studio.
When I film, I always try to be mindful of my surroundings. For example, in this video I see someone needing access to a machine near my setup, I’ll stop what I’m doing and move my camera. After all, it’s a gym first, not a filming set.
It’s inevitable that you’ll occasionally be in someone’s way while filming, but the key is to stay mindful. Always respect others’ privacy and consider their ability to work out and use machines without causing them any inconvenience.
