You knew this wasn't going to last.
Just to be fair I'm not only comparing and complaining about just one Linux, I show Linux Mint and Fedora Workstation and compare how some things on Windows are just easier, better and hell of a lot faster than on Linux.
Just one more thing though, if you're Wondering WHY my Windows 10 looks like Windows 98, it's because I want it that way.
I'm not going to miss not being able to save backup copies of apps I use.
I'm not going to miss half baked apps that barely work or don't work at all.
I'm not going to miss incompatibility with Windows apps and games.
I'm not going to miss some apps only coming as source.
I'm not going to miss have no real time volume normalize feature.
I'm not going to miss it being a bet as to what will actually work.
I'm not going to miss not being able to make shortcuts to WINE apps.
I'm not going to miss not being able to register file types on WINE apps.
I'm not going to miss having to look things up all the time.
and I'm not going to miss having to use that stupid God dammed Terminal, having to look things up, type in what it says, only to just get errors.
Don't get me wrong, I know of embedded Linux running in things like set top boxes, smart TVs, servers and internet routers, but Linux as a desktop OS is practically useless to me for the things I need to do. It is just NOT a viable alternative and has taken far to much of my time.
All the things I CAN do in Linux, I can also do in Windows. All the things I can do in Windows, only SOME of those I can do in Linux. Also it's just not worth having 2 Operating Systems on my hard drive when I can do all what I need to on just one OS, and that ain't Linux. You might be thinking "why not install a Windows Virtual Machine?" Well if the point of going to Linux is to get away from Windows, and then I go and install a Windows VM, it defeats the point, I might just as well install Windows on the bare metal.
Windows IS just better, despite what a lot of Linux users say. Unless Linux is one day able to run all my Windows games and apps, has and easy and reliable GUI based way of installing stuff from source, and if it becomes less reliable on using the stupid Terminal (about as much as you'd ever need to use the Command Prompt in Windows). I'm NEVER using Linux ever again, end of story.
