Catching TEXAS River TARPON the Ultimate Freshwater Fish
Fishing with a client on the Trinity river here in Texas, we targeted the ultimate freshwater fish the Texan river tarpon, the alligator gar. in our first 30 minute son the water we broke off a giant fish on 150 pound braid. 1 hour later we hooked up again, this time to a 7 foot 4 inch 173 pound river monster.
This is what a true fish of as lifetime looks like, i'm up to 17 alligator gar over 100 pounds for the year and 5 over 7 foot. Last year i had landed 2 over 7 foot at this point in the year and was just getting started since we ended the year with 7 over 7 foot.
I still have several months to do my thing and keep targeting the largest alligator gar in the state of Texas.
