Anatolia House culture creates a strong foundation for contemporary design solutions and scenarios.
Retahouse investigates innovative ways in order to minimize the square footage while maintaining a luxurious condition and maximize the self-sustaining systems and overall functionality of the house.
Anatolia houses was a great opportunity and context for us to investigate and try new methods of designing a contemporary house because it was one of our many projects that was carried from design phase to built phase without any interference. Sustainability, modern design and usage of reusable resources were essential and we tried our best to utilize native land elements which was beneficial for the overall construction process.
This architecture design was designed for a family of four essentially but later developed into a full-scale closed community and a village that utilizes energy regeneration methods such as solar, wind and rain water stocking.
The modern and luxury home concept is a trending topic in the house market these days. We try to honor most up to date discussions in our projects in order to challenge our team and create solutions for better living scenarios.
As you enter the villa the first thing you will notice is the untraditional ceiling heights, we were very careful with the ratios of what is horizontal vs what is vertical and how much limit we should put on both. Because the ceiling heights are generously resolved in the project the house feels very spacious even though the principle behind its design is less space and more functionality.
Developing the house in real life was a privilege for us because it allowed us to to test all seasonal conditions and sustainability challenges. Anatolia is a part of the more rural part of Turkey and it remains in the central parts which experiences all kinds of weather conditions and presents a great context and site condition for reporting if a design method works or how well it works. The house decoration is inspired by past cultures of Anatolia.
The ANATOLIA HOUSES could be the candidate of the best contemporary house solutions for middle east.
