I can't be bothered to do a marketplace release as that would involve applying more polish than I can be bothered to do, but if I have given you a copy of my wire blueprint set, here is a tutorial!
I've since updated the blueprints to add an EndPointStiffness variable affecting the severity of the droop at the endpoints - higher values are appropriate for thicker cables.
The lighting artifacts can be reduced by dividing the end segments to leave a small length of wire at the very ends, so the lighting discontinuities are limited in length. This is probably a result of Lightwave being sub-optimal and may not be an issue using 'grown-up' 3d packages.
