Police Catch Em Partying Too Hard After Leaving Island
Bodycam Footage Of Captain Getting Caught Partying Too Hard - On the east side of Peanut Island in Palm Beach County, Florida, a 28’ Seminole Marine Sailfish vessel operated by [REDACTED] and accompanied by 9 other individuals, was observed under clear weather conditions with a light incoming tide and moderate boat traffic causing wake. Officers of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was conducting water-based patrol near Peanut Island inside the Palm Beach Inlet at the time.
The Officer initiated a vessel stop to perform a boater safety inspection when he observed the vessel heading east near Peanut Island with multiple passengers on board. Upon contacting the operator the Officer noticed that [REDACTED] exhibited slightly slurred speech. [REDACTED] eyes appeared red and glassy with slightly droopy eyelids, and there was an odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage emanating from him and the vessel, particularly noticeable when [REDACTED] accessed the center console hatch to retrieve requested safety equipment.
The Officer informed [REDACTED]of the boater safety inspection and asked him to perform Seated Standardized Field Sobriety Tasks (SFSTs) to assess his impairment, to which [REDACTED]consented. Subsequently, based on [REDACTED] speech, physical indicators, and his performance on the SFSTs, the Officer arrested [REDACTED] for boating under the influence, operating a vessel with impaired normal faculties.
[REDACTED]was placed under arrest at 2000 hours on June 4, 2023. The vessel was released to a passenger upon [REDACTED] request. Following his arrest, [REDACTED]was transported to Rybovich Marina, then to the Palm Beach County main jail's Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) facility on Gun Club Road, arriving at 2243 hours. At 2101 hours, [REDACTED] refused to provide a breath sample after being read implied consent. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Main Jail at 2147 hours on June 4, 2023.

• Citation 1: V490473 (Infrac.) - 327.50(1)(a): No fire extinguisher
• Citation 2: V490474 (Infrac.) - 328.48(4): No current/valid certificate of registration on board
• Citation 3: V490475 (Misd.) - 327.35(1)(a): Operating a vessel while normal faculties impaired
• Citation 4: V490476 (Infrac.) - 327.35215(1): Refusal to submit to blood/breath/urine pursuant to FS 327.352
