Entitled Karen Fights With Angry Mob At Marina – Gets Husband Arrested
Police Arrest Entitled Karen's Husband After Starting Fight At Marina - On May 26, 2024, at approximately 1655 hours, Florida Fish & Wildlife police officers were on routine vessel patrol on the east side of Crab Island, Okaloosa County, Destin, FL. While patrolling, two individuals at the Destin Marina began shouting to get their attention, indicating that a fight had broken out on the Destin Marina pier.
The lieutenant navigated the patrol vessel to the dock. Upon arrival, two individuals were observed in the water as a result of the fight. Good Samaritans and the officers pulled the individuals out of the water and identified the two involved in the altercation. One individual was identified as the victim, who had been pushed into the water first by the other individual. The other two individuals, who were bystanders, had been accidentally knocked into the water during the altercation. At this time, the suspect was temporarily handcuffed and detained while officers gathered additional information from witnesses. All witnesses stated that the suspect had started the altercation by shoving the victim off the dock and into the water.
The officers separated the individuals to gather additional information and sworn written statements. The victim stated they wanted to press charges against the suspect for battery and loss of a cell phone. The suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to the US Coast Guard Station and subsequently to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Annex in Fort Walton Beach.
After processing the suspect, the victim made contact with the officers through another individual's phone, stating they had changed their mind and would like to not press charges. The officers explained that the defendant had already been turned over to the booking facility for processing, and the victim would need to reach out to the Okaloosa County's State Attorney's Office to request that the charges be dismissed.
