Pete Seeger's venerable folk classic written in 1955 and is a critique of the never-ending cycle of war. Recorded by many, many artistes over the years but my personal favourite was by the Searchers in 1963, who included it on their first album "Meet the Searchers".

I used the neck pickup on my Burns Anniversary Marvin fitted with 12 gauge strings, so string bending was never really an option. On the Vox ToneLab ST I used the Vox Ac15 amp model with the gain set just before breakup, treble at 25%, middle maximum and bass zero. On the Hall and Collins Signature Echo I used patch 16, the trusty old Wonderful Land "trickling" echo. I added some stereo echoes on the Tascam DP24SD and for those listening with headphones these can be heard beautifully during the palm-muted passage.
