Chromeo (DJ set) 9-9-22 @ Same Same But Different Festival - HQ Audio
"YOU ARE NOW ROCKIN WITH THA FUNK-LOURDES!" lol! Chromeo set from the "Different" stage Friday night 9-9-22 10:30PM-midnight w sound system by Funktion One. This was supposed to be a live set however the weather had other ideas. As you can see in the photo, it was sprinkling rain the entire time, not enough to get really wet but just enough to cause concern of a shutdown if things were to escalate any worse. As such, the festival organizers busted out the CDJ setup and this set was converted to a DJ set.
I had just arrived at the fest and setup my tent in the rain, then made the long walk from Bronze parking back to camp to get established, finding that the wind had knocked over the whole tent since I hadn't staked it down yet but relied on the heavy stuff inside... mercifully the sleeping bag didn't get wet! What an ordeal. Grabbed my gear and headed in. This set was the first thing I tried to record, and I arrived shortly after they started. Was behind the sound booth and a little to the right, still figuring out my ideal setup at this stage...
If you were there, I was the guy with the two mics covered in Same Same But Different socks since I couldn't find windscreens big enough to cover the mics I was using. You may notice an abrupt transition at one point in the mix; YouTube was blocking some content so I had to cut out a piece of the set in order to be able to publish the video.
