Thus it was the Catholic Church that formalized the Bible presenting it as a collection of scriptures based on their authority and long-standing tradition believed to be inspired by the Holy Spirit Historically the Bible has come to us through the Church's endorsement which asserts that the Church guided by the Holy Spirit holds the authority to interpret the Bible Ultimately it's up to you to decide whether you accept this authority or not
