The Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is one of the most beautiful and sacred places in Russia. The relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh are housed in the Trinity Cathedral.

Three springs are located in the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius and its immediate surroundings, whose waters have long been considered healing by believers.

Spring of St. Sava
The Assumption Spring, located in the chapel on the cathedral square of the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, healed a monk of blindness and later healed parishioners.
Between the chapel and the obelisk on Cathedral Square is a cast-iron basin with a cross under a canopy. The structure was erected in the late 19th century. The water for this basin comes not from the spring beneath the Dormition Chapel, but from the monastery's aqueduct.
The spring of St. Sava is located in the natural ravines that surround the monastery walls and towers.
