How to Share a YouTube Playlist
Sometimes you may want to share YouTube playlist with your friends or relatives so they can view a playlist or add videos to it (collaborate on playlists). There are two ways to share a YouTube playlist, and here is how you can do this step-by-step.
📌 Keep in mind, private YouTube playlists cannot be shared with others.
How to share YouTube playlist URL to view the playlist:
If this is other creator's playlist (only PUBLIC playlists can be shared, unless you have a URL for UNLISTED playlist):
Open the YouTube app and go to the channel's page.
Under the PLAYLISTS tab click VIEW FULL PLAYLIST
Copy URL from the browser and share, or
Tap the SHARE icon below the playlist thumbnail.
If this a PUBLIC or UNLISTED playlist that you own
Log into a YouTube account associated with the playlist you want to share.
Tap PLAYLIST from the dashboard.
Click the playlist to get to its page, and
Copy the URL link from the browser OR
Tap the SHARE button and share via a messaging app or email.
📌 If you are watching a video from the playlist that you want to share, you can click the playlist title in the gray box from the top right corner. Then, copy the URL from the browser and share with others.
How to share YouTube playlist URL to collaborate:
Note, this should be your playlist, and privacy settings should be public or -unlisted. Don't have a playlist yet? Create one, add some videos to it, and share the playlist URL allowing others to add videos to your playlist. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
Tap PLAYLISTS from the dashboard.
Hover over the playlist and click EDIT IN YOUTUBE (pen icon).
Below the playlist's title you will see SHUFFLE, SHARE, and MORE (three-dot icon).
Tap on MORE and select COLLABORATE.
Turn on “COLLABORATORS CAN ADD VIDEOS TO THIS PLAYLIST" and “ALLOW NEW COLLABORATORS”.
-Copy the link from the bar and share with collaborators.
