For #Week46 of my #52Songs52Weeks songwriting challenge, I decided to break from my normal country pattern and write a pop song. My assignment was to write a song about someone being “Fed up.” So I wrote a song about a girl who was fed up with men. She has had bad experiences that have caused her to put walls up. Other guys think she’s stuck up because she won’t talk to them. But there’s one guy in the song who understands he. He wants to get to know her but he knows she’s got walls up. So he is trying to tear down those walls and make her smile. He needs to convince her that he’s Mr. Right, not another Mr. Right Now. Will it work?
