This is a visual how-to care guide for cotton fabric. This video highlights how to take proper care of cotton clothing and garments in your closet.
Basic characteristics of cotton -
Cool, soft and comfortable
Absorbs & releases perspiration quickly
Durable
Wrinkles easily
Care Instructions -
Washing instructions - Cotton is machine washable and it is advised to use warm water.
Drying instructions - Cotton clothing should be hanged to dry. High setting on dryer can also be used.
Ironing instructions - Iron on high temperature.
While taking care of cotton fabric it is important to note -
Don't use bleach (unless garment is white)
Overbleaching can cause damage (or yellowing) to the fabric
Note - As best practice, always follow the garment’s care label for exact instructions. If there isn’t one, just follow this guide & it will help your cotton fabric last longer.
