Science Corner: What are the Three Different Picking Modules for CellCelector?
The CellCelector Flex has three interchangeable picking modules. The single cell picking module uses glass capillaries and can pick from sizes of twenty microns up to two twenty microns.
The adherent colony picking module uses autoclavable stainless-steel tips. It can pick anything in sizes from three hundred microns up to one thousand microns and the semi-solid media picking module is designed for picking from semi-solid media like matrigel. It can pick anywhere from five hundred to twelve hundred microns and uses disposable plastic pipette tips.
