Waiting for Jax!
I met Ralena and Lucas on June 20, 2019. It was a sad day filled with grief and loss. The kind of sorrow one can never fully get over. When they announced they were expecting a new baby in late November I was overjoyed for them! And filled with worry. Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place, they say; but that's a small comfort when one has to go through a second pregnancy with no guarantees for a happy ending. There is never a guarantee.
I can tell you it was a long pregnancy even though baby Jax was born a couple of weeks early. I prayed for them over and over again, asking God to protect little Jax and to fill his mommy and daddy with peace and joy.
I can also tell you that July 6, 2020, will forever be one of my favorite days ever! Hearing the news that Jax was born without complication and completely healthy made my heart overflow with gratitude and joy!
Seeing him and holding him in my arms was such a wonderful moment for me. Coming full circle with Lucus, Ralena, and Jax is truly an incredible blessing.

Welcome to the world little Jax. You brought a big beautiful rainbow with you. A world of joyful color to replace the dark clouds of sorrow.
