"Setting The Stage" | Gold & Cobalt Episode 1
Episode 1 of "Gold & Cobalt: The Battle of Vegeta", a 4 part sprite animation exploring what would happen if 2 Vegeta's met?
PLOT -
This story follows the Vegeta from Dragonball GT & the Vegeta from Dragonball Super. GT Vegeta comes from 5 years after the defeat of Omega Shenron and Goku's departure. Having been training intensively and refining everything he knows about Saiyan power, GT Vegeta has achieved new heights far beyond what any Saiyan had before him. With the Universe at peace, he seeks a new challenge in order to test his might against.
Meanwhile, DBS Vegeta has gathered the Dragonballs on the advice of Whis, who told him that fighting a completely unique adversary might be the key to helping him surpass his limits yet again. Knowing that he has to compete with Goku & Broly, DBS Vegeta knows he needs to do whatever it takes to surpass his current level.
This leads them both to making a wish that will change them forever.
NOTES -
A few pointers just to keep things nice and simple:
DBS Vegeta hails from the anime, 1 year after the events of Dragonball Super: Broly. Originally I wrote the first drafts of the script while the Moro arc was ongoing and ultimately decided to stick with the anime continuity for simplicity.
I simply used a cut to black for when the Vegeta's discuss the differences between their worlds, since it wasn't something I wanted to waste time on recapping, especially since it's stuff that every Dragonball fan will know.
Some might cry foul at the power levels presented here, but don't worry, this is something that is going to be discussed in Episode 2 and forms a plot point.
GT Vegeta is in the Xeno outfit cause honestly? I hate his GT look, especially the hair.
