This past Saturday, we celebrated Intergenerational Day by recognizing the mutual benefits of builds relationships across generations. These relationships bridge the gap between seniors and youth, reduce isolation and loneliness, improve mental, social, and physical health, and foster more cohesive societies.
By connecting across generations, seniors and youth both benefit. Older generations are a source of insight and wisdom from their experience, and younger generations can help seniors learn new approaches and technological skills. Canada would benefit from more intergenerational connections.
