October - What to plant in the Phoenix area!
This is a really short video and covers what we can plant here in the Phoenix area in the month of October:
Beets - we really like Golden Beets in addition to Red Beets, so we add some in the garden this time of year.
Bok Choy
Broccoli from Transplants that we started in September
Brussel Sprouts
Cabbage - we like Copenhagen early market, sauerkraut coming up!!!
Carrots - Parisienne, Kuda, Black Nebula, and Uzbek Golden amongst others
Cauliflower - Rober and Snowball
Celery
Chard - we like rainbow chard for the added color mix
Endive
GARLIC - YUM!!!!
Kale - russian red, dwarf blue curly, and thousand head this year.
Kohlrabi - Early Vienna, Blauer Spec
Lettuce - Romaine, Little Gem, Butter Crunch, Butter King, Solar Flare amongst others
Mustard
Onions - walla walla
Peas - both sugar snap and shelling
Radish - sparkler, china red, french breakfast, amongst others
Rutabagas
Spinach
Turnips
