This is a VOD from a Twitch stream as I have been playing through Hi-Fi Rush. As a heads up, Streamer Mode is On for this. If you are not familiar, there are two soundtracks for this game: one uses licensed music and the other uses music that can be streamed safely without being taken down.
Hi-Fi Rush has been the most fun I have had with a game in quite some time. The combat system is pretty cool despite its simplicity compared to other action games, but the rhythm requirement adds a unique depth that I personally have not seen in other games. That said, you should definitely give it a shot if you are into character action games. And even if you are not, the game is pretty accessible too with various difficulties for both the action and maintaining the rhythm.
In any case, Rhythm Tower is a total of 60 floors where you fight a variety of enemies and bosses that you meet throughout the entire game. If you are familiar with Devil May Cry, it is essentially Bloody Palace. I had already completed this one time, but I wanted to go back and complete a run without using items since it was an in-game achievement.
This was a pretty good run overall, but most of my boss fights were pretty sloppy. I need to learn the attack patterns more across the board and focus more on parrying rather than pure aggression at times, so I am not flailing as much as I was in this video. Regardless, it got the job done. I suppose a a general tip, this all comes down to just practice and understanding enemy attack patterns as you'd expect. I also focused on utilizing moves that output as much energy as possible so I could heal with Pick Me Up and use partner specials more often. Healing does not come very often on this mode, so PMU is extremely helpful to make up for mistakes as you'll see.
The time stamps below will take place every 10 floors or so, but I will call out boss fights as well.
