Epson SMD-480L works again!
Non-working FDD; just short buzz and no floppy and trash icons 0:00.
Floppy disk is spinning 0:23, reset 0:29, reset again 0:39, but no icons on the screen.
How it was repaired 0:49?
Pull out white flat 1:12 and two heads flat cables 1:20.
I've cleaned these parts before video recording (IPA, cotton buds) - here is just to show you what I was doing 1:38.
A little bit spraying motor axle, metal groove 1:53 and shaft 1:56 with DeoxIT 5.
Moving the mechanism on which the heads are located back and forth 2:11 (I think this was crucial for FDD working again because this mechanism was all stuck - probably because it hasn't been in operation for years).
I also cleaned with IPA and cotton buds the other FDD parts, heads etc...
Inserting heads flat cables was a little bit tricky 3:00 but I managed somehow from the bottom side 3:11.
Ready to use 4:33.
Booting time 4:39 to 5:42 (no more buzz, only short head clicks).
Inserting the floppy disk 5:49 and Voila 6:32!
It's really pleasure to see this Epson floppy drive is working again, because it is very well made.
