It's that time of year again. The annual Banlic Cabuyao fiesta in honour of patron saint San Roque.
The streets are hung with tinsel and the festivities commence with the unbounded campness of a karakol parade down the old federal highway.
It's the kind of festival you wish they would stage in Riyadh or Moscow, Pyongyang or perhaps even Baton Rouge, just to liven things up a little.
