Don Víctor was a humble man, but respected by everyone in Irucucho, as he was very skilled at his trade of skinning llamas and taking them to town to sell. It was said that when a neighbor wanted to sacrifice their animals, Don Víctor was sought out and treated like a master, because he was known to be very adept at sacrificing llamas and other animals.
The youngest of the four daughters, Yolanda, stood out for the unique spark in her eyes, a light that shone with the desire to explore beyond the mountains surrounding Irucucho. Despite having suitors in the community, she longed to meet other men, convinced that the love of her life lay on the other side of the mountains.
Over the years, her three older sisters had found husbands among the locals, hardworking and respectful men who earned their living in the same community. Valentín, Sergio, and Juan were the sons-in-law who helped Don Víctor with his llama meat business, always showing respect and obedience to their father-in-law.
Meanwhile, Yolanda, after exploring other communities, had become captivated by a stranger, a man from another region whose name resonated throughout the Andes with a mixture of admiration and disdain: Teodoro.
