Urgent Hospital call, We Had to Go Back But Together We Are Strong
Hey everyone, we're Bram and Simon, two Dutch gay guys and soon-to-be fathers. Over a year ago, we bought an old farmhouse in rural France that captured our hearts. We're thrilled to share our journey of transforming this old farm into our dream home as we prepare for our baby girl's arrival in less than two months.
This week, we returned to France and were delighted by what we found. Simon’s parents had worked incredibly hard in our absence, tiling the toilet and painting the walls. The transformation was breathtaking. Our dogs were ecstatic to have us back, and our first walk with them through the high grass meant that mowing the lawn became a priority.
After a bit of rain, the sun came out, and we started creating the hole in the wall for our washer and dryer. However, we faced a few challenges. Alongside a brake problem with the wheel loader, Bram accidentally shattered our vlog camera. But that incident paled in comparison to the news that changed our week. Shortly after the camera mishap, we received a call that required me to return to the Netherlands urgently, leaving us worried sick.
Join us in this week's vlog episode as we navigate these ups and downs, tackle renovation tasks, and share moments of rural French beauty. Our dogs are loving every step of the way, and we hope you enjoy following our journey!
