Back in France: Reunited and Renovating with My Love
Hi everyone, we're Bram and Simon, two Dutch gay guys and fathers to be. Only one year ago, we discovered an old farmhouse in France and, after overcoming some challenges, we were able to buy it. We're excited to share our journey as we renovate this amazing place into our dream home, with our baby girl arriving in one month we still want to finish up the last things.
This week, I returned to France after our final hospital checkups in the Netherlands. We're very glad to report that everything looks normal with our surrogate mother and our little one. Feeling relieved, I took my first flight to France, and Bram picked me up from the airport. It was wonderful to be reunited, and the dogs were overjoyed to see me too.
With no time to waste, we jumped back into our renovation projects. Our to-do list is still long, so we immediately got to work. I started by mowing the overgrown grass, then we moved on to building the laundry cabinet and making more progress in the bathroom. But before diving into these tasks, I wanted to see all the work Bram accomplished while I was away.
This week, we also focused on planting a variety of vegetables. If everything grows well, we might end up with an abundant harvest this year.
