Adventuring in the Beautiful Southwest Missouri Backcountry - Coy Bald Trail
Come along for my hike of the Coy Bald Trail in the Hercules Glades Wilderness Area of southwest Missouri just east of Branson. I spend the night by the "falls" and enjoy a swim while I'm there.
Two things to note: you must cross a low-water bridge to get to the parking area at the trailhead. Be safe and have a back-up plan if the water level is high. A but beyond the bridge there is a pretty hairy section of dirt road, steeply uphill and on a curve. I'm not sure I'd have chanced it in a low clearance vehicle.
