Exploring One of the Ozark's Best Views: White Rock Mountain Recreation Area - Rim Trail
Come along for my night on top of White Rock Mountain, one of the best views in all of Arkansas, if you ask me. For this adventure I had a rare (for me) stay in a campground, but I had the place all to myself.
After checking in and securing a site I set up camp and got settled in. Next, it was time to do the 2ish mile White Rock Mountain Rim Trail. I started my hike at the main overlook and went clockwise (north). There were incredible views along the entire route, along with a number of shelters where you get some of the best vistas.
After the hike, I went back to camp to have dinner: steak, salad, and a chilled can of pineapple chunks. In the morning, after a slightly chilly night in a hammock, I headed back to the overlook for coffee and corned beef hash. A stop by the cute and nicely stocked general store for ice cream ends the adventure.
