Dayhiking the Ozark Highlands Trail to Hare Mountain- the OHT Highpoint
Come along for a dayhike - and peeks of my nearby camp - as I check out the highest point along the scenic Ozark Highlands Trail. I start at the Morgan Fields Trailhead and end at the junction of the spur trail that leads to the campsite at Hare Mountain's summit (as there were campers there already). The hike was not very strenuous and came in at just over 4 miles. It does have one of the coolest ridges in the Ozarks. After the hike, I show you some views from camp I made for the night.
