MicroShift Advent X / Shimano Deore Hybrid - Will It Work?
i'm a huge fan of my MicroShift Advent X 10 speed drivetrain. Its light, cheap and reliable - except for one thing: The clutch in the derailleur. By design, it has some free motion before tension engages. In addition to that, this is the second derailleur that has developed play in one of the main pivots, causing even more free motion.
In this video we will find out together if a Shimano Deore 11 speed derailler will work with the other Microshift parts. My research shows that it has the same pull ratio so it should, but you never know if what you read online is true. If it does work, it will fix my problem. More importantly though, it will save you around $20 compared to the Advent X derailleur.
