Stationary Wandering - a lofi guitar loop on a rainy day
This is another lofi track and on top of that another older track that I am updating and posting here on YouTube. There wasn't a whole lot that I updated, actually, it is just the rain ambience and some slight EQ adjustments in the intro. Definitely a more simple video and audio updates from this one, but I didn't really have anything I wanted to add to this. Also, I have been working on another track that I am hoping to release soon therefore I have been putting in my efforts more into that one. I did want to drop this one here though since I have been on a solid lofi streak!
When I first uploaded this to SoundCloud, I couldn't think of a good title and just gave it a descriptive placeholder title 'lofi guitar loop on a rainy day'. As I was trying to think of an actual title to give it, I thought of Stationary Wandering because I think it describes musically what happens in this track. It is very static, or stationary, because it is pretty much just the same melodic structure throughout the entire track. However, the track also wanders harmonically as it modulates through a few modes and key centers in the middle of the piece. I came up with that section because I wasn't really sure what else to do and I also wanted to give the track some variety and just to see what is possible to make work.
I originally came up with the guitar part while playing one of my guitars with a loop pedal. It was not the guitar in the picture 😅
