The 4th module of International Fellowship Training Program on Biofunctional Interceptive and Myofunctional therapy (BIMT) was conducted by Dept. of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Annoor Dental College & Hospital, Muvattupuzha from 24th-27th July 2024.
The faculties of the program were Prof. Dr. Joby Peter (Head of the Department, Annoor Dental College) Dr. Binu T Abraham (Director & Chief Consultant, Kerala Dental Clinic, Aluva) Dr. Kurien Tobi Varghese (CA Hospital , Ernakulam).
The programme included:
Case discussions and live patient interactions
ENT lecture with live demonstration of nasal endoscopy to visualize adenoids ENT and Dentist role in working together Orthopedics and its working principles with hands on and live placement of head gears, face masks and chin cups and alternative techniques.
The instructors were experts in the area and were well informed and are involved with leading research happening in the field. This programme is an essential opportunity for healthcare professionals to enhance their expertise in managing malocclusions and orofacial myofuntional disorders. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills, the program aims to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of orofacial health. The Valedictory function was conducted at T M Seethy Hall on 25th July 2024. A glorious achievement for Dept. of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry as we proudly celebrate the successful completion of our 3rd batch of fellowship training. We are elated by the tremendous feedback we have received from our participants.
