Cons Endo Day 2024
Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Annoor Dental College & Hospital, Muvattupuzha celebrated Cons Endo Day 2024 on June 3, 2024. The highlight of the day was the CDE program titled " POSTERIOR COMPOSITES: ESTHETIC & FUNCTION" by renowned Aesthetic Dentist Dr. Jose Thomas from Calicut. The session, live demonstration, and hands-on training on esthetic posterior restorations were outstanding.
Dr. Thomas's lecture focused on current concepts in caries removal, modern principles and designs of tooth preparation, the facts versus myths of pulp protection, functional contacts, sectional matrix systems, layering, and injection molding techniques, centripetal cusp buildup, finishing and polishing protocols. The live demonstration and hands-on session covered class II contact and contour buildup using a Dual Force sectional matrix system, centripetal cusp buildup, aesthetic layering, finishing & polishing techniques.
A total of 66 participants attended the program, including postgraduate students, faculty members from six dental colleges, and general practitioners. 30 participants took part in the hands-on session. The program was well appreciated by all attendees.
