LUNETA PARK, MANILA โ In a powerful show of unity, the men and women of the Philippine maritime industry raised their collective voice for dignity, respect, and safety at sea, declaring a zero-tolerance policy against harassment aboard ships during the Day of the Seafarer celebration held on 25 June 2025.
Central to the event was the speech choir titled โMy Harassment-Free Ship,โ which brought together voices from across the industry โ government, private sector, maritime schools, seafarers, and their families.
For the HMS interview, MARINA Administrator Sonia Malaluan reminds us that harassment has no place on board. A safe, fair, and respectful ship is not a privilege โ it is a right.
