Alright yogis - in this video we're exploring one of the most challenging balancing postures in the Primary Series, Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana. The key to this one is found in the vinyasa count! It's far too common to see practitioners rushing through to shorten their length of time standing on one leg, but with the correct integration of ALL the counted positions (not just those that are considered the "state of the asana"), one develops a reliable and consistent ability to control their way through the posture from start to finish. As challenging as it may seem, this asana is like all the others - through dedicated practice, it will not only become accessible, it will be accompanied by a sense of steadiness & ease.
