PPP Loan Forgiveness Application Guidance for Freelancers, Self-Employed and Sole Proprietors
Here I speak very briefly about the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness application and the initial steps to take to begin the process. I focus on SBA Form 3580 EZ. It's a highly simplified form that is typically completed online through your bank's or fintech firm's portal. It's straightforward and easy to use. If you are self-employed, working as a freelancer, or operating as a sole proprietor, this is the form to use.
Check your email for a reminder to apply for forgiveness. If you don't see such an email, check the website of the fintech firm or bank you used to apply for and receive the PPP loan. Look for "PPP loan forgiveness".
