The Purrgil from The Mandalorian Explained Fast!
What were the giant creatures seen flying through hyperspace in The Mandalorian? They were called purrgil. They were whalelike beings that could travel through hyperspace naturally. Study of the creatures led to the development of hyperspace technology thousands of years earlier. Even the Jedi and the Sith were able to learn from them, which led to the creation of devices like wayfinders. Purrgil also happen to be responsible for Grand Admiral Thrawn’s disappearance from the galaxy, as seen in in Star Wars Rebels. Since we know Ahsoka is searching for him, I expect we haven’t seen the last of the purrgil in live action.
