Why the First Battle Monument is Important in The Bad Batch
The Bad Batch episode The Solitary Clone prominently featured the First Battle Memorial in two scenes between Commander Cody and Crosshair. That memorial first appeared in The Clone Wars episode The Jedi Who Knew Too Much. According to the official trivia guide for the episode on StarWars.com, it was built to honor the clones who died in the first Battle of Geonosis as seen in Attack of the Clones. It was created out of a giant slab of Geonosian rock and the identification numbers of every fallen clone were carved into its surface. It’s a very fitting spot for Cody to consider the sacrifices of his clone brothers after the creation of the Galactic Empire.
