*OPENING HYMN: #178 Hope of the World
*OPENING PRAYER (Unison)
Eternal God, hope of all who trust in you, in Christ you weep with those who
mourn even as you cry out in triumph over the grave. Unbind us from sin,
release us from captivity, and with Lazarus, raise us from death to life, so
that we may join that great crowd of saints who forever sing praise to your
holy name; through Christ, the resurrection and the life. From the PCUSA website.

Please feel free to call out your joys/concerns/praise at this time. Prayers of the People, concluding with:

POSTLUDE
A Meditation for All Saints Sunday:
"We pass on to you what we ourselves received." Paul writes to the Corinthian
congregation. Our service today is a celebration of those who have gone before us and
have passed on these things and many other to us. So, as we remember the host of
this meal, Jesus, let us also remember those who have also helped shape our lives of
faith and helped us to live out Jesus' teachings. As we share in the bread and cup,
symbols of God's love for us, let us also remember those who were also signs in their
own way of God's love for each and every one of us, those who showed us who Jesus
is by what they said and did. ©2024 - DisciplesNet
