Twitter App Gone from Mac Store: The End of an Era?
X, previously known as Twitter, is no longer available on the Mac App Store, indicating it has likely been officially removed. Searches for "Twitter" and "X" on Apple's platform no longer show the app, and the app's URL now displays a message stating that it's unavailable. As a result, new users can't download the app and must use the browser version instead.
Some users who already have the app installed can still access it. However, others have noted that using the iPad version on MacOS may lead to issues. Today might mark the end of the company's Mac app, which has faced criticism for being buggy. Despite Elon Musk rebranding Twitter to X in 2023 and updating the name across all platforms, the Mac app hadn't received an update in about a year.
