JEX#15 Vigilante Justice REMIXED (Flamenco Hiphop Jazz Fusion)
REMIXED from my original 9/30/2012 cut. Goal: Write a song that ends like it starts, and fuse Flamenco with Hiphop and Jazz.
Theme: Unchecked passion results in great sadness.
Style: average street guitar player "raps" with his guitar, hiphop circa 2009
Lessons:
1) using keyboard to simulate guitar playing is best done with s pedal and modulation aftertouch
2) playing with a lag is fun and easier than i thought. i didn't try to over do it but you can hear it in the kick, the bass, and acoustic occassionally
What would I Change?
The MV's AG Nylon 2 guitar patch took a lot of getting used to, to hit accents. The accent sample was dramatically different in tone from base sample. I replaced it with a jazz guitar, remixed, rmastered and re-released 1/26/2014.
MV880 Jazz Experiment #15 - the last of my "Conflict" project. I start anew next year.
