Who Is Doctor Aphra? Star Wars Fast Facts
Did you know Star Wars has it’s own rogue archeologist, much like Indiana Jones?
Her name is Chelli Lona Aphra and unlike Indy, she has very sketchy morals. She was recruited by Darth Vader after the Battle of Yavin. Fulfilling several missions for the Sith Lord, she fell out of favor with him, and faked her own death. Traveling with her assassin droid companions, Triple-Zero and BT-1, Aphra went by the alias Joystick Chevron.
Aphra was a notorious criminal throughout the galaxy. When Han Solo met her, he recognized her as a tough opponent and noted her remarkable intelligence. Even Darth Vader acknowledged Aphra’s talents. Intelligent and capable, she possessed exceptional survival abilities, focusing solely on her own desires.
As a result of her quick actions, which were mostly dictated by money, she was continuously thrust into difficult circumstances. Despite the fact she repeatedly deceived her friends, at times she felt compelled to aid others.
