This video is on “HETP – Understand The Concept and Its Effect on Height of Packing“. The target audience for this course is chemical and process engineers and chemical engineering students.

HETP is an important sizing parameter in the design of packed column. Packed columns are widely in several applications across wide range of chemical process plants including and refineries, petrochemical plants. Knowledge and understanding of the HETP concept is important for the process and chemical engineers who either design or operate the packed columns. This video focuses on the concept of HETP, the system parameters that affect the HETP and illustration with real world system which use packed columns and the effect of system properties on the values of HETP and the height of packed columns.
