Have you ever made bath bombs that break or crumble, or that are soft or powdery, or maybe just not up to your standards? If so, recycle them into something that you can be proud of to give away or even sell. There are several ways to do this!
Recipes are suggestions. You don't have to follow them as they are - put your own spin on them!
BATH BOMB SMOOTHIE: Use any type of bath bomb; broken bombs, half bombs, small bombs, pieces, chunks, powder, etc. Add it to a container. Use bath bomb smoothies to make a bath soak or like bath bombs.
BATH BOMB CONFETTI: Break up crumbling, broken, or ugly bath bombs into uniform chunks/pieces. Don’t use powder.
For the next projects, you'll need bath bomb powder. It's easiest to use soft, mushy, or powdery bath bombs that sieve easily into powder.
BUBBLE BATH POWDER: 100 grams bomb powder + 50 grams of powder surfactant (or more). I used sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa) [alternates: sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, or sodium coco sulfate instead].
BATH SOAK: Mix 1 part bath bomb powder and 1 part dendritic salt (or a different salt) to make a bath soak!
SCOOPS: 700 grams sieved bath bomb powder + about 100 grams thick liquid (so mixture doesn't react and puff up). I used 50 grams melted cocoa butter, 30 grams fragrance oil, and 20 grams polysorbate 80. Scoop truffles. Add decoration if you wish. Dry 24 hours.
BUBBLE BATH [or bath bomb] BRITTLE: 100 grams bath bomb powder + 25 grams powder surfactant (or omit it to make bath bomb brittle) + 10-15 grams of thin liquid that makes the mixture puff up (like water, castile soap, coco betaine). If powder dries out, wet it more until it's pliable again. Lay mixture flat on parchment paper and use the sides to roll the dough in on itself. Keep rolling the dough flat & reinforcing the sides until it's a solid, firm shape. The mixture may puff up on top; roll the top and flatten it until it's no longer puffy (it may puff up for a couple hours after). Dry brittle 24 hours. Break up the brittle and package it.
You can also make bubble bars or anything else that requires a dry mixture! Let your creative juices flow!
