Make Cute Single-Use Soaps Using Citrus Slices! Great for Soap Dish!
Today I'm showing you how to make single-use citrus slice hand soaps. Lemons are small so they're perfect for single use soaps. These tiny soaps are much better than rose soap petals; they're easier to handle, clean better, and exfoliate. All in all they're unique, pretty, convenient, perform amazingly, and are super easy to make.
RECIPE: 100 grams melt and pour soap + 5 grams fragrance oil [5% total fragrance] (optional) + dry citrus slices OR dried herbs, fruits, or flowers.
Chop the soap so it melts evenly and quicker. Microwave it for a bit (like 15 seconds) then stir it. Repeat steps until it's completely melted. Once melted, add 5% fragrance oil. Reheat the soap if it cools; it should be fairly hot when poured. Arrange slices on an elevated rack so excess soap drains away. Spray slices with alcohol to reduce bubbles in soap. Pour soap on citrus slice then immediately spray it with alcohol. Fully cure slices (about 5 minutes). Add as many soap coats that you want, just make sure the previous layer is cured first. So slices don’t dry stuck to the rack, carefully and slightly shift them while the soap is still liquid. To reduce damage, carefully and very slowly remove the slices once dry. Don’t pull the slices off, instead cut areas that have dried to the rack.
If you're using the soaps, arrange them in a cute container & set them by the sink. If not, package them in a cute disposable bag.
