Azerbaijan shelling Nagorno-Karabakh (Qarabag) w/ mortar and rocket artillery fire September 2020
Escalation of violence in the conflict between Armenia who is supporting Nagorno-Karabakh as a territory with an ethnic Armenian majority, and Azerbaijan who claims this territory. Russia supports Armenia in this frozen conflict while Turkey supports Azerbaijan. This is a frozen conflict that has been ongoing since early 90s with occasional flare-ups and skirmishes.
