I took him to him to where the ancient road has no ends & it blew his mind
We were at the old cellar hole metal detecting for a bit and dug up a few relics but the trash in the ground was just annoying after a couple hours. I said lets go Nate I want to show you something I found filming a Not Thursday that will blow your mind. So we headed for the hills here in NH to one of the oldest rock walls in the county. This is the location of an early Mass Grant in NH dating back just about 300 years so it is documented that people have settled and lived here for centuries. Long ago somebody drew a map of this area and put down right along this brook " Ancient road date unknown " and last year I found about 150 feet of it. ....that is it ! When you get on on side the megalithic new England walls goes right across it and then you walk 150 feet of it with its cart ruts and rock shoulders till it disappears . I have been hiking and exploring these deserted farmlands for decades now and still can't make sense of which came first. Its old, overgrown and deserted. This is a classic New England mystery where the landscape history is very difficult to read but you can see clues of the past that still remain.
