The layers of time cover up the old relics and coins at this cellar hole which is a disaster of a mess. It was also used as a loggers landing back in the 1930s so there is trash and junk from the past 250 years. We moved Model T car hoods, big heavy iron hardware from who knows what and just kept metal detecting and digging. This cellar hole is the site of a 1700s homesite that was abandoned in the 1800s and has been deserted since. We found some 1800s relics buried in with th trash and a coin as well. Just read the landscape and figure out where the people were doing things and you will find stuff. metal detecting old places like this just takes time and patience.
